Here is a new British sports car with a Corvette engine. This “super car” gets some weight advantages from a carbon fiber / aluminum honeycomb sandwich structure used as the chassis.

Here is a new US Patent published last week that is assigned to Airbus. Looks like it is a design for a honeycomb type sandwich structure.

Rio Tinto announced the sale of Alcan Composites to Schweiter Technologies.

A Global 500 company is searching for a “material with high-strain rate ductility at low-temperatures and the ability to be powder cast.” This material must be able to be laminated to a foam core material without a need for surface treatment.
