Here is a new US Patent published last week that is assigned to Airbus. Looks like it is a design for a honeycomb type sandwich structure.

Rio Tinto announced the sale of Alcan Composites to Schweiter Technologies.

Gurit, one of the largest supplies of core materials to the marine, automotive, and wind industry is in the process of acquiring a majority stake in a Chinese manufacturer of structural foam products.
A Global 500 company is searching for a “material with high-strain rate ductility at low-temperatures and the ability to be powder cast.” This material must be able to be laminated to a foam core material without a need for surface treatment.
